Mark Monoscalco found himself in a very good location after his tee shot on the 444 yard par 5, 18th hole at Royal Kunia on January 24, 2012. Mark was approximately 200 yards from the center of the green. He carefully studied his options and decided that going for the green on the second shot had a very low probability of success as the shot was almost all carry over a water hazard. Mark chose to lay up and left his second shot approximately 80 from the center of the green. Mark’s third shot landed on the left side of the green and rolled about 40 feet in a large arc into the hole for an eagle.
