An adventure in the sand

On the 515 yard par 5, 7th hole at Kapolei on 4/7/12 Steve Quaiver found his ball lying in the green side bunker after his third shot. The ball was deeply plugged high on the side wall away from the green. Steve did not hesitate, and entered the bunker to attempt the sand save. Unfortunately the situation spun out of control and Steve used 7 shots to exit the sand trap. This set a new record (most shots in 1 sand trap) for the Grand Cru Golf Club.
